Hi there! My name is Bee Russell, I'm an Artist, CU Boulder Student, and a general creative person! My creative expression comes in all different forms: Paintings, digital pieces, random dumb doodles, and even costumes and textile work! I find my inspiration from all different walks of life: random memes on my phone, conversations i've had with friends, world events , or even random thoughts I have in the shower or on the bus. My approach and goal with my work is to bring joy and inspiration to others through being my most authentic self; ripping my chest open and showing the world my fluorescent, bleeding heart in all of its messy, bizarre glory. My art is my own weird way of telling people who I and asking if you wanna be friends, because if you like my work you're gonna like me because my art is an extension of myself. I like to have fun with my work, if its not fun then whats the point? That's what contributes to my mentality and why I do what I do as well as life in general: Don't take it too seriously, and have fun. When it comes to digital art, i'm fairly new! I mostly do traditional work (painting, drawing, etc.) so digital is a fun, new Wild West! Because of this, i'm excited to get to know all forms of digital art better and play around with it.
