PROJECT #2 ARTIST STATEMENT

For this project I definitely struggled with not just my inspiration, but also the actual creation of the final product! I have little to no experience in sound editing, let alone Adobe Audition, so creating my final product was definitely a struggle before I eventually learned the ropes a bit more. For the project itself, I really just had fun with it! Once I got into a groove, I found myself having a lot of fun and giggling with what I was making or had ideas for. It took me a long time to really figure out what I was doing, before I was just going where the wind took me, but eventually I settled on the idea that SpongeBob in the video was a frat boy who is late to his art school critique and having the worst day ever. I'm quite proud and happy with my final product, even though at one point in the process I ended up loosing 4 hours of work because I forgot to save it to my drive before the lab computers were wiped! I got back on my feet quickly though and made something that makes me smile and laugh, and hopefully it makes you too! I want to credit my partner who provided the voice lines for the bus station clerk and assisted me with his sound-editing knowledge throughout this project
